Review: A State of Fear

A State of Fear: how the UK government weaponised fear during the Covid-19 pandemic – Laura Dodsworth This review was first published on Estuary Stirrings Way back in March 2020 when the Covid-19 crisis first hit, I remarked that a frightened population could be easily manipulated into giving up a lot of their freedoms in return for an illusion of safety and security. Some people did get what I was trying to convey, others were too busy watching fear porn from Wuhan and not taking a step back to critically […]

A year of anti-lockdown organising in Croatia

How a friend of mine and I indirectly triggered the anti-covid movement in Croatia.  By Miszlaws In early March 2020, I noticed that lockdowns were spreading beyond China, Italy and a few other countries, and I became concerned that a bigger agenda was underway. In Croatia they had already closed schools, but they said there will be no need for a statewide closing – that we just needed to wait two more weeks.  I knew about the globalist and capitalist practice of faking pandemics, like in the case of swine […]

The dictatorship will fall!

In these dark times for people all over the world, the UK seems to be slipping deepest of all into the shadows of tyranny. With vaccination rates higher than elsewhere, the authorities are now suggesting that their “vaccine passports” may be needed not just for travel but for basic social activities, such as going to the pub. But, at the same time, the country is also seeing an impressive wave of resistance to the newnormalist dictatorship. Saturday March 20 saw protests for freedom in some 40 countries in Europe and […]

“I didn’t even realize I had it.” 117-year-old nun survives Covid

A 117-year-old French nun who is believed to be Europe’s oldest person has survived COVID-19. The Gerontology Research Group, which validates details of people thought to be 110 or older, lists French nun Lucile Randon — Sister André’s birth name — as the second-oldest known living person in the world. French media reported that the nun tested positive for coronavirus in mid-January in the southern French city of Toulon. But just three weeks later, she is considered recovered. “I didn’t even realise I had it,” she told French newspaper Var-Matin. […]

Is there a growing undercurrent of hedonistic defiance?

Over the last few weeks, there’s been a lot of attention paid to the #KillTheBill protests that have sprung up in opposition to the Policing, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill. What played a part in capturing people’s attention was the violent behaviour of the Avon and Somerset plod in Bristol and also the Met in London. Originally published in the essexheckler April 6, 2021 Gaining somewhat less attention, is the revival of street protests against lockdown, the new (ab)normal and the great reset. In a bid to try and get […]

The Mainstream Media is Reaching New Lows in their Coverage of Anti-Lockdown Protests

essexheckler April 27, 2021 Dave , Estuary Stirrings Having been an activist in one form or another since the late 1970s, I’ve lost count of the number of protests I’ve been on that have received scant or dismissive media coverage. Up until the end of the 1990s before the Internet started to enter our lives and our activism, extensive coverage of a protest would only happen if the mainstream media decided it was important enough to cover. Back in the day, despite all of the effort that was put into […]

What are they trying to do to us?

Posted on March 29, 2021 by winter oak A brief overview (also available as printable pdf) Life has become very strange indeed for billions of people since March 2020. We are no longer allowed to do what we always did, see who we want to see, live freely in the way we fondly imagined we were entitled to do. Everything has changed. Now we have to check the latest restrictions on our movements and activities. We can’t go to concerts, football matches, pubs or cafés. We are told to avoid […]
